Students and teachers share their handcrafted holiday gifts

It’s that time of the year when you are pondering what to get for your family and friends for the upcoming gift-giving holiday. Yes, Christmas! But you’re just like everyone else in the world, stuck at home trying to avoid going to populated malls.
Mid-Pacific students and teachers are creating their own gifts for friends and family this year.
Sophomore Alaina Visi shares her sea glass earrings, rings, and keychains all made from scratch. She utilizes round nose pliers and flat nose pliers, wires, beads, glue, as well as other additional add ons for keychains and bracelets. Visi had collected sea glass from the beach and started using it to create jewelry.
“The most important aspect is being open to things not always working out and having creativity,” said Visi.
