Motion of the Ocean

This goal of this photography project was to show people that there is more to Hawai‘i than just the extremely crowded Waikiki beach. There are many beautiful beaches all over Hawai‘i no matter where you are. On top of that concept, I wanted to add a creative twist by taking long exposures during the day using stacked neutral density filters. ND filters help block out daytime light to allow for longer exposures in bright situations. This effect illustrated the movement of water over time compiled into one frame, allowing people to see Hawai‘i’s beautiful landscapes in new ways.
